About iPower
iPower surprisingly is not that great of a host. When you see they have been around for around 4 years you’ll understand that they are a fairly new company. The thing with iPower is the software they use is quite buggy and their customer service is a bit slow. The thing with iPower is they specialize in their dedicated servers, yet they aren’t that reputable. If you’ve seen other reviews on the internet you will see that many people are pretty upset at the outcome. I’m afraid to say I haven’t used them and wouldn’t use them, but I know a few people who have and they were completely upset.
Plans and Features
Typical web hosting rates range from $4.95 to $12.95 a month. These rates are right where they should be when competitors use similar rates, but the servers they use aren’t too great. The $4.95 a month plan only offers 1500 GB of space and 15,000 GB of bandwith, which is very low compared too many other top quality hosts. In fact the $12.95 a month plan only offer 2000 GB of space and unlimited bandwith. I usually don’t bash hosting companies mainly because I like giving everyone a chance, but when I saw my buddies website go down for over 5 days because the hosting company couldn’t fix the problem, I just said forget them and go with someone else.
iPower Reliability
As I said earlier iPower specializes in their dedicated servers. They are quite cheap in price and are used by many people. Whether or not the people are happy with them is a different story, and I’d have to go with the negative portion of the clients. People just find the servers unreliable and slow, while many people tend to just stick it out, iPower doesn’t provide that fast of customer support and the price of $79.95 for a dedicated server just isn’t worth it in my opinion.
Conclusion
All in all you might want to stay away from iPower. I usually know what I am talking about in these situations and I have to say you won’t want to waste your hard earned money at iPower, there are just so many hosting companies out there that provide such better server and reliability. If you want to go with a company that has had a lot of complaints, find out for yourself, but you have been warned.
